Course Overview

The Advanced Quran Studies course is designed for students who have completed intermediate-level Quranic education. This course aims to deepen understanding of the Quran through detailed Tajweed application, memorization of longer Surahs, and a focused study of Tafsir and Quranic themes. Students will also explore the linguistic beauty of the Quran and its relevance in modern times.

  • Reviewing advanced Tajweed rules (Idgham Shafawi, Ghunnah, and others).

Week 2: Advanced Tajweed Practice

  • Practicing complex Tajweed rules in longer Ayahs.
  • Focus on stopping signs and rules of Waqf.
  • Group recitation and individual feedback.

Week 3: Memorization of Longer Surahs

  • Beginning memorization of Surah Al-Kahf.
  • Effective memorization strategies for longer Surahs.
  • Reflecting on key themes of Surah Al-Kahf.

Week 4: Tafsir of Selected Surahs

  • Tafsir of Surah Al-Kahf (first 10 Ayahs).
